Trial & Execution of Babeuf.

On February 20th, 1797: Beginning of the trial of Babeuf and his leading followers at the High Court of Justice in Vendôme.

The political agitator Babeuf and one supporter, Darthé, are sentenced to death. Babeuf and his supporters were jailed and executed in Vendôme on May 27.
